This condo on a west-facing property is mere steps to the ocean and the nightly breathtaking sunsets! It has a lovely lanai with a table and chairs for al fresco dining and a garden view. A low-density property, Maui Sands Seaside glows with the ambiance and charm of Old Hawaii. We have 20 units in a traditional 2-story building, in a park-like setting. Maui Sands Seaside shares ocean access with the sister property, Maui Sands, and a snorkel or swim in the ocean is a few steps away! The living area is clean, casual, and open, featuring bent bamboo and wicker furniture, indoor dining for 4, and a fully equipped kitchen designed to make you feel at home and comfortable during your stay. This condo has a king-size cool foam hybrid mattress. There is no pull-out couch, but we keep a twin air mattress and a Pack 'n Play for a 3rd guest. The updated bathroom features a large step-in shower, and there are plenty of clean, fluffy towels! Maui Sands is oceanfront property, with a few steps from the condo lanai to stunning views of Molokai and Lanai. The seawall, observation deck, and shared gas BBQ are just 50 steps from your front door. *A holiday cleaning fee of $75 will be added to check ins occurring on Thanksgiving (U.S.) and Christmas. For stays longer than 14 nights, we may require a linen change for every 14 nights stayed. There is a $100 fee for linen changes. These fees will be collected after the reservation is made. We are happy to schedule a mid-stay cleaning for you prior to the arrival date. The fee is $190.00. *A change in the state or county tax rates may require an additional charge. Host Story: We are retired and veteran visitors to Maui! We purchased this condo after staying on the property several times. We wanted a special place we could truly call our second home, somewhere we could settle into and enjoy! Maui Sands is a Peaceful and Friendly place with good neighbors. It invites you to be calm and serene, and be happy! Our property manager is Heather Buono, owner of Grace Vacation Rentals Maui, and she has lived on the island for 30+ years. She is a great resource for activities! Location: Honokawai is located on the Northwest shore of Maui, with views of the islands of Molokai and Lanai across the Au’au channel. Maui Sands epitomizes old-school Hawaii ambiance. This is a low-density property with mature tropical grounds, including mango and banana trees. We are a very easy short walk from some lovely beaches and beach parks. There are many good local restaurants, a large grocery store, a food truck park, a coffee shop, and some great spa facilities, all within a 3-5 minute walk. One of the favorite things about this location is the mix of local permanent residents and visitors. Honokowai is the kind of neighborhood where people wave as they walk by! A short drive south is Whalers Village for more great shopping and eating, situated right on Ka’anapali Beach, and the Ka’anapali golf course. North towards Kapalua, there are 3 more championship golf courses, as well as fabulous beach walks and mountainside hiking! Nothing like a sunset view from the side of a volcano! Nearby Activities: Honokowai and Napili are two beautiful coastal areas located in West Maui, Hawaii, known for their laid-back vibe and proximity to some of Maui’s best beaches. Here are some top vacation activities you can enjoy in Honokowai and Napili: 1. Napili Bay Beach * Swimming & Snorkeling: Calm waters and soft sand make this bay ideal for families, swimming, and snorkeling. * Turtle Watching: Sea turtles are often spotted near the rocky ends of the bay. 2. Honokowai Beach Park * Picnicking: Shaded picnic tables and grassy areas, perfect for family outings. * Playground: Great for kids, with a small playground and easy beach access. 3. Snorkeling & Paddleboarding * Rent gear locally and explore the reefs along Napili and Honokowai for tropical fish and turtles. 4.
